The DIN330 features two L-shaped metal braided
temperature sensors designed for precise control and monitoring of meat and BBQ
temperatures. This versatile controller offers dual outputs and displays,
allowing for accurate management of both meat and BBQ temperature, with added
high-temperature alarms for added monitoring.
BBQ temperature controllers are commonly utilized
with smokers and grills to maintain a consistent cooking temperature. This is
achieved by regulating airflow to the fire, thus controlling the temperature
within the cooking chamber. Typically, two temperature sensors are employed:
one to measure the cooking chamber temperature and another to monitor the internal
temperature of the meat. Here's an overview of how it functions:
Cooking Chamber Temperature Control:
Temperature Sensor (Probe 1): The initial sensor,
often referred to as the pit probe, is situated within the cooking chamber to
monitor air temperature.
Controller Unit: The BBQ temperature controller is
linked to this sensor, allowing you to set a desired target temperature for the
cooking chamber.
Fan: The controller is also connected to a fan,
commonly known as the blower or fan unit.
Stabilization and Control Logic: When two outputs
are wired in series, the controller adjusts the fan based on data from the pit
probe and meat probe (BBQ and meat temperatures). It adds oxygen to the fire
when needed to increase the temperature and reduces it when the desired
temperature is reached.
Meat Temperature Monitoring:
Temperature Sensor (Probe 2): The second sensor,
known as the meat probe, is inserted into the meat being cooked.
Display Unit: Many BBQ temperature controllers come
with a display unit that shows the meat probe's temperature. You can set the
desired internal temperature for the meat.
Alarms: The controller can trigger an alarm when
the meat reaches the desired temperature, signaling that it is ready.
Additionally, Alarm 2 can activate when the BBQ temperature reaches a specific
level for further monitoring.
Feedback: The temperature controller records
maximum temperatures from each cooking session, enabling consistent cooking
chamber and meat temperature management for optimal cooking results.
These controllers are particularly advantageous for precise cooking methods where maintaining consistent cooking temperatures is crucial for achieving the best results. They offer a hands-free approach to cooking, allowing you to focus on other tasks while still achieving excellent BBQ results.
