A differential temperature controller in a boiler system
works by comparing the current temperature to a desired setpoint temperature,
applying a user-adjustable differential, and adjusting the heat input to the
boiler to keep the temperature within the specified range. This control system
helps ensure efficient and safe boiler operation. Here's how it works:
Sensing: The controller typically uses two temperature
sensors, one to measure the current temperature of the water or steam inside
the boiler and another to measure the desired setpoint temperature. These
sensors are strategically placed in the boiler system.
Comparison: The controller continuously compares the actual
temperature (measured by the first sensor) with the desired setpoint
temperature (measured by the second sensor).
Differential Adjustment: The "differential" in a
differential temperature controller refers to the temperature difference (or
range) between the setpoint and the current temperature. This differential is
often adjustable, allowing for fine-tuning of the control system. For example,
if the setpoint temperature is 180°F, and the differential is set to 10°F, the
controller will aim to keep the boiler's temperature between 175°F and 185°F.
Control Action: Based on the temperature comparison and the
set differential, the controller takes appropriate control actions to maintain
the desired temperature range. It does this by regulating the heat source, such
as a burner or electric heating element, to either increase or decrease the
heat input into the boiler.
If the current temperature falls below the lower limit of
the temperature range (e.g., 175°F in our example), the controller will
increase the heat input by turning on the burner or increasing its intensity.
If the current temperature rises above the upper limit of
the range (e.g., 185°F in our example), the controller will reduce or turn off
the heat source.
Feedback : The controller continuously monitors and record
Maximum and minimum temperature and in different seasons you can compare and adjusts
differential ranges for more efficiency.
Safety Features: The controller has safety features, such as
high-temperature alarm function, which can shut down the heating process if the
temperature exceeds a critical level to prevent overheating and potential
damage.
Not only does the Mini Temperature Controller Thermostat help protect against overheating or freezing, the buzzer and flasher alerts also notify you when the alarm is triggered, while the ability to turn off the outputs gives you even more control over your system.
It also records maximum and minimum
temperatures for two sensors, improving the efficiency of your system.
The large and clear LCD display makes it easy to read the temperature, and with
its mini and light design, it won't take up too much space.
Equipped with a timer delay for two zones and protect your equipment from damage due to frequent start-ups.
Configurable between Fahrenheit or Celsius and equipped with temperature calibration for two sensors, this accurate controller has 0.1 C or 0.1 F resolution controlling. It even comes with a wiring diagram for easy installation.
Don't settle for a subpar temperature controller – upgrade to our Mini Temperature Controller Thermostat today and take the first step towards a more efficient, customized boiler system.

Applications:
1. The controller is commonly used in residential homes to regulate the
temperature of hot water or swimming pool. The controller measures the
temperature of the water in the solar collectors and adjusts the circulation
pump and/or mixing valve to ensure that the water is at the desired
temperature.
2.
The controller can be used in larger-scale commercial and industrial applications,
such as for air heating or process water heating. The controller regulates the
temperature of the water in the solar collectors and adjusts the circulation
pumps, fans and valves to ensure that the water or air is at the desired
temperature with transfer heat to the place being heated.
3.
The controller can be used in greenhouses to regulate the temperature
of the air and soil. The controller measures the temperature of the air and
soil and adjusts the ventilation and heating systems to maintain a consistent
temperature.
4.
The controller can also be used in solar cooling systems, such as absorption
chillers. The controller measures the temperature of the solar collectors and
adjusts the circulation pumps and valves to transfer heat from the collectors
to the absorption chiller, which cools the air or water.
